Dear teachers and students:

  hello everyone!

The title of my speech is "happy to see life, smile to welcome life".

In the journey of life, we often encounter setbacks and failures and fall into all kinds of unexpected difficulties. At this time, please don't feel inferior and don't easily say: I can't do it. We should treat life with a positive and optimistic attitude, have the courage to cheer ourselves up and say to ourselves: great.

There is such a story that the father's son's grades were mediocre and the family was "in constant war" all day. In the sound of scolding, his son's grades fell again and again, and finally became the penultimate first. My father thought, it's no use beating and scolding anyway. Just try a different attitude. So he looked at his son's test paper and said with a smile, "great, really great!" The son was surprised. The father said, "you think, a person who runs last doesn't have to worry that others will surpass him, but as long as you work hard, you will surpass others." After hearing this, his son suddenly realized that he worked very hard in his future study. After several exams, his son's grades rose to the top. From this story to see our study, we should be inspired: the exam is not ideal, depressed, we might as well say "great!" Because the exam points out our weakness in study and tells us the direction of our efforts.

It's better to find problems now than to stumble and wake up in the middle school entrance examination. Failure put an end to yesterday, a new life begins here, and success takes off from here. Let's say "great" to ourselves in the face of setbacks. For us growing up, ups and downs are nutrition, and setbacks are the best university in life. Let's say "great" to ourselves in the face of difficulties. In overcoming difficulties, we continue to mature.

As long as we are worthy of ourselves and our parents, let us treat our study and life with an optimistic attitude, constantly strive to forge ahead and write a brilliant movement of life!

  Thank you!

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Good afternoon!I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech.today my topic is “youth”.I hope you will like it,and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.Do you know what is youth? How do you master your youth?

Youth is not a time of life,it is a state of mind;it is not rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees,it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness;it is the freshness of the deep springs of life.

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite, for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20.Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.

Years wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.Worry, fear, self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.

Whether 60 of 16,there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite,so long as you are young.

When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old, even at 20,but as long as your aerials are up,to catch waves of optimism, there is hope you may die young at 80.

  Thank you!

Mr. Chairman, Senator Thurmond, members of the committee, my name is Anita F. Hill, and I am a professor of law at the University of Oklahoma. I was born on a farm in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma, in 1956. I am the youngest of 13 children. I had my early education in Okmulgee County. My father, Albert Hill, is a farmer in that area. My mother's name is Irma Hill. She is also a farmer and a housewife.

My childhood was one of a lot of hard work and not much money, but it was one of solid family affection, as represented by my parents. I was reared in a religious atmosphere in the Baptist faith, and I have been a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, since 1983. It is a very warm part of my life at the present time.

For my undergraduate work, I went to Oklahoma State University and graduated from there in 1977. I am attaching to this statement a copy of my resume for further details of my education.

I graduated from the university with academic honors and proceeded to the Yale Law School, where I received my JD degree in 1980. Upon graduation from law school, I became a practicing lawyer with the Washington, DC, firm of Ward, Hardraker, and Ross.

In 1981, I was introduced to now Judge Thomas by a mutual friend. Judge Thomas told me that he was anticipating a political appointment, and he asked if I would be interested in working with him. He was, in fact, appointed as Assistant Secretary of Education for Civil Rights. After he had taken that post, he asked if I would become his assistant, and I accepted that position.

In my early period there, I had two major projects. The first was an article I wrote for Judge Thomas' signature on the education of minority students. The second was the organization of a seminar on high-risk students which was abandoned because Judge Thomas transferred to the EEOC where he became the chairman of that office.

During this period at the Department of Education, my working relationship with Judge Thomas was positive. I had a good deal of responsibility and independence. I thought he respected my work and that he trusted my judgment. After approximately three months of working there, he asked me to go out socially with him.

What happened next and telling the world about it are the two most difficult things -- experiences of my life. It is only after a great deal of agonizing consideration and sleepless number -- a great number of sleepless nights that I am able to talk of these unpleasant matters to anyone but my close friends.

I declined the invitation to go out socially with him and explained to him that I thought it would jeopardize what at the time I considered to be a very good working relationship. I had a normal social life with other men outside of the office. I believed then, as now, that having a social relationship with a person who was supervising my work would be ill-advised. I was very uncomfortable with the idea and told him so.

I thought that by saying no and explaining my reasons my employer would abandon his social suggestions. However, to my regret, in the following few weeks, he continued to ask me out on several occasions. He pressed me to justify my reasons for saying no to him. These incidents took place in his office or mine. They were in the form of private conversations which would not have been overheard by anyone else.

My working relationship became even more strained when Judge Thomas began to use work situations to discuss sex. On these occasions, he would call me into his office for reports on education issues and projects, or he might suggest that, because of the time pressures of his schedule, we go to lunch to a government cafeteria. After a brief discussion of work, he would turn the conversation to a discussion of sexual matters.

His conversations were very vivid. He spoke about acts that he had seen in pornographic films involving such matters as women having sex with animals and films showing group sex or rape scenes. He talked about pornographic materials depicting individuals with large penises or large breasts involved in various sex acts. On several occasions, Thomas told me graphically of his own sexual prowess.

Because I was extremely uncomfortable talking about sex with him at all and particularly in such a graphic way, I told him that I did not want to talk about these subjects. I would also try to change the subject to education matters or to nonsexual personal matters such as his background or his beliefs. My efforts to change the subject were rarely successful.

Throughout the period of these conversations, he also from time to time asked me for social engagements. My reaction to these conversations was to avoid them by eliminating opportunities for us to engage in extended conversations. This was difficult because at the time I was his only assistant at the Office of Education -- or Office for Civil Rights.

During the latter part of my time at the Department of Education, the social pressures and any conversation of his offensive behavior ended. I began both to believe and hope that our working relationship could be a proper, cordial, and professional one.

When Judge Thomas was made chair of the EEOC, I needed to face the question of whether to go with him. I was asked to do so, and I did. The work itself was interesting, and at that time it appeared that the sexual overtures which had so troubled me had ended. I also faced the realistic fact that I had no alternative job. While I might have gone back to private practice, perhaps in my old firm or at another, I was dedicated to civil rights work, and my first choice was to be in that field. Moreover, the Department of Education itself was a dubious venture. President Reagan was seeking to abolish the entire department.

For my first months at the EEOC, where I continued to be an assistant to Judge Thomas, there were no sexual conversations or overtures. However, during the fall and winter of 1982, these began again. The comments were random and ranged from pressing me about why I didn't go out with him to remarks about my personal appearance. I remember his saying that some day I would have to tell him the real reason that I wouldn't go out with him.

ladies and gentlemen, good morning! i’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech.

man’s life is a process of growing up, actually i’m standing here is a growth. if a person’s life must constituted by various choices, then i grow up along with these choices. once i hope i can study in a college in future, however that’s passed, as you know i come here, now i wonder what the future holds for me.

  My favourite season is spring.

Everything is very lively in the spring. The flowers are blooming, the trees are growing and the grass is turning green. I like lying on the grass and enjoy the sun shine in the park in the spring. We also can fly a kite, have a picnic, go on a trip or climb the mountain, but I don’t like to do those things, because they will make me feel tired. Some people like to go to the countryside, however I don’t think it is a good place to go for a rest. I don’t like the other season, because they are not very warm: summer is too hot, winter is too cold. While autumn is cool, it isn’t very beautiful.

Last year, I went to the Slender West Lake in Yang Zhou. First we took a boat to travel down the lake, we saw the Qiong flowers on the bank, and they were very beautiful. Then we visited the Five Kiosks Bridge, there were five kiosks on the bridge, and every kiosk has a long history. We sit in the kiosk and took some photos. Last we went to the Fishing Platform. Why do people call it ‘Fishing Platform’? Because the emperor called ‘Qian Long’ in Qing Dynasty visited it. We also fished in it. We had a good time in Yang Zhou.

Anyway, my favourite season is spring.

In the summer recess between freshman and sophomore years in college, I wasinvited to be an instructor at a high school leadership camp hosted by a collegein Michigan. I was already highly involved in most campus activities, and Ijumped at the opportunity.

About an hour into the first day of camp, amid the frenzy of icebreakersand forced interactions, I first noticed the boy under the tree. He was smalland skinny, and his obvious discomfort and shyness made him appear frail andfragile. Only 50 feet away, 200 eager campers were bumping bodies, playing, joking and meeting each other, but the boy under the tree seemed to want to beanywhere other than where he was. The desperate loneliness he radiated almoststopped me from approaching him, but I remembered the instructions from thesenior staff to stay alert for campers who might feel left out.

As I walked toward him I said, “Hi, my name is Kevin and I’m one of thecounselors. It’s nice to meet you. How are you?”

In a shaky, sheepish voice he reluctantly answered, “Okay, I guess.”

I calmly asked him if he wanted to join the activities and meet some newpeople. He quietly replied, “No, this is not really my thing.”

I could sense that he was in a new world, that this whole experience wasforeign to him. But I somehow knew it wouldn’t be right to push him, either. Hedidn’t need a pep talk, he needed a friend. After several silent moments, myfirst interaction with the boy under the tree was over.

At lunch the next day, I found myself leading camp songs at the top of mylungs for 200 of my new friends. The campers were eagerly participated. My gazewandered over the mass of noise and movement and was caught by the image of theboy from under the tree, sitting alone, staring out the window. I nearly forgotthe words to the song I was supposed to be leading. At my first opportunity, Itried again, with the same questions as before: “How are you doing? Are youokay?”

To which he again replied, “Yeah, I’m all right. I just don’t really getinto this stuff. ”

As I left the cafeteria, I too realized this was going to take more timeand effort than I had thought — if it was even possible to get through to him atall.

That evening at our nightly staff meeting, I made my concerns about himknown. I explained to my fellow staff members my impression of him and askedthem to pay special attention and spend time with him when they could.

The days I spend at camp each year fly by faster than any others I haveknown. Thus, before I knew it, mid-week had dissolved into the final night ofcamp and I was chaperoning the “last dance”. The students were doing all theycould to savor every last moment with their new “best friends” — friends theywould probably never see again.

As I watched the campers share their parting moments, I suddenly saw whatwould be one of the most vivid memories of my life. The boy from under the tree, who stared blankly out the kitchen window, was now a shirtless dancing wonder. He owned the dance floor as he and two girls proceeded to cut up a rug. Iwatched as he shared meaningful, intimate time with people at whom he couldn’teven look just days earlier. I couldn’t believe it was him. In October of mysophomore year, a late-night phone call pulled me away from my chemistry book. Asoft-spoken, unfamiliar voice asked politely, “Is Kevin there?”

“You’re talking to him. Who’s this?”

“This is Tom Johnson’s mom. Do you remember Tommy from leadership camp?”

The boy under the tree. How could I not remember? “Yes, I do”, I said.“He’s a very nice young man. How is he?”

An abnormally long pause followed, then Mrs. Johnson said, “My Tommy waswalking home from school this week when he was hit by a car and killed.”Shocked, I offered my condolences.

“I just wanted to call you”, she said, “because Tommy mentioned you so manytimes. I wanted you to know that he went back to school this fall withconfidence. He made new friends. His grades went up. And he even went out on afew dates. I just wanted to thank you for making a difference for Tom. The lastfew months were the best few months of his life.”

In that instant, I realized how easy it is to give a bit of yourself everyday. You may never know how much each gesture may mean to someone else. I tellthis story as often as I can, and when I do, I urge others to look out for theirown “boy under the tree.”

good morning , ladies and gentmen it is great honour to speak here .i value this chance of sharing teaching experience with distinguished teachers very much.to be honest i felt rather nervous.i can still remember when i made my first speech in college.i ev en couldnt control my breath . .because i really didnt know what to say at that time .well- today, being an english teacher for some years in zhongxin, i have a strong sense of responsibility, which always fills me with strength and confidence. after being an english teacher, i think, to be a good english teacher, you should know your major well.your personality is as important as your knowledge. a good english teacher must be enthusiastic.you must love your students and respect them.in addition, you must also respect yourself and take pride in your work.a good english teacher should be kind, encouraging, and helpful and you should motivate your students to seek knowledge. ill tell you a true story, last year, a boy named liulei came to our cla, he looked so quiet, no age childrens lively and cheerful, he didnt dare to answer the question loudly, when i asked him to do the dialogue in front, he even had a big cry .and he didnt dare to see anyone ,whose voice low like a whisper, i am well aware that he lacked of confidence and neceary encouragement .so, then i give the opportunity to him for each cla , and i encouraged him to say: jake you have been done better than last time, and i also make the clamates to applaud him, i also told his mother to encourage him when seeing his progre, day by day , i am surprised to find the child really progreed, now he can put up hands to answer a question activly ,whats more, he can take part in the game, performance has been greatly improved.his mother was pleased to tell me her child progreed .every time, after school he always chatter without stopping told her that what he learned in zhongxin , and the performance is greatly improved, as his teacher was really excited for his progre, i realized the unprecedented : [?npresid?ntid)achievement! this sense of achievement is no substitute. in bible,it says: love is patient; love is kind; .it does not insist on its own way; it bears all things, hopes all things, endures all things.love never ends. grow up,use love to bring them bright sunshine, use love to improve my life value, that is what i want to do. if there is another chance for me to choose my occupation, i won’t choose anything except being an english teacher. i enjoy my job, and i love my life.thats all .thank you for listening!

Ladies and Gentlemen:

My topic is Honesty. As a correspondent of the Qingdao Morning News, I visited Dr. James Gilman, the President of the International Committee for Marco Polo Studies in England. In this picture, this is James, and this is me and we are looking at a dragon’s tooth. This is a true story.65 years ago, James lived in Qingdao. Then he was only 5 years old. He often visited the Aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there, which he thought was a dragon. He was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure.

In the late 1930s, when the Japanese occupied Qingdao, his family had to leave. On his last day in Qingdao, he ran to the Aquarium and pulled out one of the teeth from the dragon’s mouth. He kept the tooth for the next 65 years, but the feeling of guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through his life. It was always on his consience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. Finally he decided to put right his childish error. In 20xx, he visited Qingdao and returned it to the Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm welcome.

When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit. I was deeply touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I think to err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error.Honesty is a vital quality of human behaviour. So we should try to keep an honest mind in everything we say and do. I would like to say to all of my friends: Let’s be honest people of good moral character.

  Thank you.

I am a rich girl, because I have a lot of treasure.

Friends are my treasures. Whenever I am sad and down, I know they would hold my hands and warm my heart. They show me how amazing the friendship is.

Families are also my treasures. Whether time find us far apart or it keeps us close together, they are always standing by my side. They tell me how wonderful to be loved by people you love.

Experience is my treasure. Whatever good or bad situation I have to face, it would show me the right way. It helps me to know more about life.

I believe I will be richer in the future., because the way of life is just like a journey of finding treasure .You never know when and where you can find them. You just keep going and they will be found in some time at some place. I will cherish what I have had and keep finding with my curiosity and passion . I fall in love with reading, because I can get the treasure of knowledge .

I take part in activities, because I can find the treasure of cooperation.

I enjoy music, because I can find out the treasure of beauty.

Hi everyone. My topic today is Maths in my Eyes. When I mention the word“maths” some adjectives will come to mind, boring, difficult and complicated. But I think maths is very interesting. It is used almost everywhere in our lifeand also related to art and music. We all know one geometrical concept, thegolden section. It's very important in painting, sculpture and architecture, such as the Parthenon in Athens and the Venus de Milo. In nature a littlepentagonal flower has its golden section. It looks beautiful. What about itsconnection with music? Lets take a look at a straight and tight string. Pluckit, and then halve its length, then pluck it again. The sound we hear is thesame note but a higher frequency. The Greek mathematician Pythagoras discoveredthis law and it developed into the musical scale we know today.Another exampleis from the famous composer, Bach. When we listen to his music in “Well-TemperedClavier”, we find the notes are always getting higher .But amazingly, in theend, it comes back to the initial height. Why is it? That's why Bach was great! It's a very interesting maths problem. We call it a paradox. These days we learnmaths at school. The only purpose is to get a high mark. But I personally thinkthat those with curious and creative minds will open the door to the world ofmaths. Just as Galileo said, “Mathematics is the alphabet with which God haswritten the universe”. Maths, in my eyes, is a fascinating subject that needsour passion and imagination. In the end I hope you love this boundless treasureand enjoy the magical world of maths!Thank you!

Ladies and gentlemen:

Good evening ,I am joy and glad to give you a speech about stress , yes , just the topic you see on the screen.

Psychologist tell us that stress is a state of worry caused by the problem of living , such as too much work or study , heavy responsibilities , and quickened pace of life istics show that stress comes from every detail in our life ncial problems , poor health , being laid off may be the stress that most adults now suffering students in the university , we are also under our special stress .

While study , having to take various tests and submit a project against a deadline may put a great pressure on us the things make us felt stressed may be our parents’s greater expectations on us than we could reach r , when we are likely to graduate , some other problems will also annoy us .

I think we will worry a lot about our ability to compete in the job market and how we can best use what we’ve learned at college in our future job chief problem we should face to is our atitude towards stress le usually say they can not live in the sun except they escape from stress ’s unwelcome ! yes , however , very necessary image a world where stress does not exist and people lead their life in a very comfortable way is this kind of living condition as perfect as we hope ?

without stress , they may feel very satisfied with the current life but lack of power to discover new things much satisfaction result in nothing except a countermarch of the society stress , no development a certain amount of stress is good .

It can stimulate us and increase our level of alertness our answer to stress is another vital problem to do with ourselves when stress suddenly break into our life ? to wave the white flag and admit our unability , to give up to our ideality , or worstly , just to suicide as to put an end to everything …

of cause not principle is to tackle with stress gentlely and should try our best to release ourselves .

Such as to do some exercise , to linsen to traditional chinese music or classical music to ease our minds and to learn to view these changes of life as challenges ’s no use crying over spilt milk to accept what has happened can solve the problem .

Ok , i think i was under large stress 3 minutes before , but now i am here and have finished my speech .
