　　As we know, the urbanization and industrialization of many cities affect the environment negatively in different forms, such as dumping toxic wastes into rivers, encroaching on residential land, cutting down forests and so on. All these unwise behaviors facilitate the development of our cities in the price of damaging the environment we are surrounded by.

　　Consequently, as a member of our cities, the faith that no effort is small while protecting the environment encourages us to take immediate action to slow down these worsening contamination. For instance, we should curb our appetite for using plastic bags without any restriction and take public transportation instead of private cars.

　　In addition to this, the government should enact laws and guidelines to inhibit environmental pollution resulting from individuals and some organizations.The high taxation shoud be levied on environmentally harmful behaviors.

　　I firmly believe , with joint efforts, the development of environmental protection will be prosperous in the near future.
